    Jiyong seems to be your typical happy-go-lucky guy. With his friendly disposition, most people seem to have no problem with him. He likes making new friends whenever he can, since there wasn't a lot of people in his home in the countryside. His bright, ubeat personality seem to attract others, since he's the type of guy who would always cheer you up. 

Jiyong always likes a good laugh. He tends to have a high-sense of humor that he would sometimes laugh at the most innapropriate times. Even the smallest joke can trigger a laughing seizure for this boy. However, when he tries to make others laugh, his jokes are so bad that people are forced to laugh just to not make him feel bad. He also tends to share a lot to others, especially when it comes to food. He's the type of friend who would always give you the bigger piece of the candy bar. Jiyong also enjoys cooking for others, that he often insists them to take his boxed lunches. This boy is too generous for his own good.

He also never seems to run out of energy. Jiyong usually does things in a quick manner and never seems to break a sweat, especially when he cooks. In fact, he can cook an entire gourmet if he had to, and would not even show any signs of tiredness. His energy levels are at its highest, when in Kpop concerts... 
Even with all that energy, Jiyong can be very lazy. Doing work is such a drab for him and dislikes the idea of sitting down at the table and writing stuff. He is not fond of doing translating work as his part-time job, and always shows lack of motivation for the job. In addition to his laziness, he is also very accident-prone. Whatever Jiyong touches seems to always end up in a disaster, like knocking over vases or spilling stuff. He often worries about that part of himself.. 

It's miracle that his clumsiness doesn't reach in the kitchen, at least.

     As a child, Jiyong grew up in the countryside of Korea. All his life he was stuck around doing chores in his grandparent's farm. However, his clumsiness often led to disasters whenever he helped out, such as knocking down the bucket and spilling the milk, or forgetting to lock the gate, causing the pigs to escape. Thus, his grandparents told him to stay in the house from now on. There, he usually helped around in the kitchen with his mother. He doesn't remember much about his father since his parents divorced when he was at an early age. But even without his father, he was glad to be very close to his mother. His mother would always spend time with him, such as cooking and trying out new recipes. Soon, Jiyong had developed a great liking to cooking and would usually make stuff when his mother was not in the kitchen.
   
     However, his mom soon and fell ill and passed away. He stopped cooking after that. Shortly after, Jiyong went to Japan to live with his uncle, since his grandparents weren't able to care for him. Of all he experienced, Jiyong was greatly stressed and forlorn at the time. But eventually his uncle was able to talk some sense to him and encouraged him to start cooking again. Jiyong remembered his mother's words about how food can bring someone happiness, and so he continued cooking. He spent most of his childhood in Japan, and became well-versed in the language there.
   
    When he turned 14, he moved back to his grandparent's farm in Korea, and studied in high school there. When he graduated, he decided to enroll in a culinary arts university to pursue his career as a chef. However, he was rejected, but that didn't stop him from cooking. When he turned 20, he moved back to Japan, and decided to enroll in a cooking college there. He eventually got accepted. But by the time he graduated, he decided not to become a chef. All the competition Jiyong had to face and expectations he had to meet, made cooking less enjoyable. That was when he decided to move, ended up living into an apartment with another roommate and worked as a normal chef at the nearby local restaurant across the street.
Jiyong was finally pleased on living on his normal life and continues to make people happy with his cooking.
